Founded in 1898, Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. As one of top 3 agricultural universities in China, HZAU is a key construction university of the national "211 Project", ranking 47th in China. It has cultivated more than 300,000 outstanding talents, including the first doctoral degree holder in agronomy and the first doctoral degree holder in pomology of China, making outstanding contributions to the national development.
