2. 何时可开始申请，被录取后何时入学？
答: 申请时间通常是在11月至下一年的2月。每年只开放一次申请。华中农业大学研究生项目的入学时间为每年的9月初。如获得奖学金但因个人原因等不能在同年要求的时限内按时报到，奖学金资格将同时被取消。
Q2. When can I apply and when will I be admitted?
A: The application period is usually from November to February of the following year. Applications are only open once each year. The admission time for the graduate program at Huazhong Agricultural University is early September each year. If you receive a scholarship but cannot register on time due to personal reasons or other circumstances within the required period, your scholarship eligibility will also be revoked.
3. 申请中国政府奖学金的基本流程是怎样的？

A: In “Chinese Government Scholarship online application system” (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/register) and “Huazhong Agricultural University online application system” (https://hzau.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx), you should fill the required application information and submitted the required application materials at the same time. 上传申请材料时，保证材料的真实，准确，完整。对于提供虚假或者伪造证书、文件的申请人，华中农业大学将拒绝其申请。已经被录取的申请人，注册报到时，华农要验证其所有申请材料的原件。一经发现材料造假，将被取消录取资格，并被要求立即返回，回国旅费由本人承担，且在今后五年内华中农业大学将不接受其任何形式的入学申请。
填写申请表时，在“学生类别”一栏申请者应选择想要申请就读的学生类别，而不是已获得的学历；申请表上的个人信息（包括姓名、性别、国籍、出生日期、护照号码）须与护照上的信息保持完全一致，若申请者没有护照或者护照即将过期，请在办理或更换新护照后，及时在网上申请系统填写相关信息。否则，录取通知书和签证申请表（JW201或JW202）上将缺失部分信息或显示错误信息，可能导致申请签证时被中国使馆拒签。
Q4. What are the requirements for application materials (passport) and application forms?
A: Applicants must carefully prepare their application materials as required, ensuring that the materials are true, accurate, and complete. For applicants who provide false or forged documents, Huazhong Agricultural University will reject their applications. For admitted applicants, Huazhong Agricultural University will verify all original application materials upon registration. If any falsification is discovered, the applicants admission will be revoked, and they will be required to return immediately, with travel expenses incurred being borne by themselves. Furthermore, Huazhong Agricultural University will not accept any form of reapplication from this applicant for five years.
In “student category” column, applicants should choose category which they are going to study, rather than the acquired degree; personal information on the application form (including name, gender, nationality, date of birth, passport number) must be entirely consistent with the information in your passport. If the applicant does not have a passport or if the passport is about to expire, please promptly update the relevant information in the online application system after obtaining or replacing a new passport. Otherwise, the acceptance letter and visa application form (JW201 or JW202) may lack some information or display incorrect information, which could result in the visa application being rejected by the Chinese embassy.
5. 可以同时申请中国政府奖学金和华中农业大学奖学金吗？如果申请中国政府奖学金被淘汰后想继续申请校奖学金，是否需再次提交申请和材料？
答: 不可以。请优先申请中国政府奖学金。
如果不能录取为中国政府奖学金生，学校会评估申请人材料，择优发送校奖学金录取offer，不用二次申请。
Q5. Can I apply for both the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship at the same time? If I am rejected for the Chinese Government Scholarship, do I need to submit my application and materials again if I want to apply for the university scholarship?
A: No. Please apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship first.
If you are not admitted as a Chinese Government Scholarship student, the university will evaluate the applicants materials and select the best candidates to send offer of the Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship without a second application.
6. 申请中国政府奖学金是否需要支付申请费？
答:不需要。

A: No.
7. 应届毕业生无法提供最高学位证明材料怎么办？
答: 请提交由所在学校相关部门（教务部、研究生院）开具的预毕业证明或在读证明。如果被录取，在来校报到时必须提供毕业证书和学位证书原件。如果届时无法提供证书原件或提供的证书未通过审验，将被取消入学资格，由此产生的国际旅费由本人承担。
Q7.What if a fresh graduate cannot provide proof of his/her highest degree?
A: Please submit a pre-graduation certificate or an active enrollment certificate issued by the relevant department of your university (such as the Academic Affairs Office or Graduate School). If admitted, you must provide the original graduation and degree certificates. If you cannot provide the original certificates on time or if the provided certificates fail the verification, your admission will be revoked, and any international travel expenses incurred will be borne by yourself.
8. 导师接收函是否为申请必需材料？如何获取导师联系方式？
答：导师接收函不是申请必需的材料。在申请时没有导师接收函仍然可以提交申请，但是，导师的意向对于申请者能否成功被录取而言非常重要。因此，建议未能提前获取导师接收函、但已提交申请的申请者积极与导师进行联系，如果获得导师接收函，应在申请截止前及时补充到申请材料中。

Q8. Is the acceptance letter compulsorily required for application? How to obtain the contact information of the supervisor?
A: A acceptance letter from the supervisor is not a mandatory document for application. Even without it, you can still submit your application. However, the supervisors intention is crucial for your successful admission. Therefore, applicants who have submitted their applications but have not yet received a acceptance letter are advised to actively contact supervisors. If they obtain the acceptance letter, it should be promptly added to the application materials before the deadline.

9. 为什么导师会不回复邮件？如果导师长期不回复邮件该怎么办？
答：导师若不回复邮件，有以下可能：工作太过繁忙，可以尝试定期发送，但不可同一时间过量发送邮件，造成对导师的骚扰；邮件主题不够明确，被误以为是广告邮件，你的邮件标题应该简洁清晰，不会造成误解；邮件内容不够具有针对性，应该针对心仪的导师，相应地调整自己简历的内容材料中的侧重点。
建议申请者尽量尝试通过多种渠道与自己心仪的导师取得联系。在沟通前详细了解导师研究领域和过去的课题、项目和成果，在沟通过程中主题明确、措辞礼貌、表达清晰（特别是通过邮件沟通的申请者），介绍清楚自己的经历、成果以及未来规划。
Q9. Why do supervisors not respond to emails? What should I do if my desired supervisor does not respond to emails for a long time?
A: If the supervisor does not reply to the email, there are the following possibilities: They may be too busy to give feedback in time, you can try to send regular emails, but not at the same time to send excessive emails, causing harassment to the supervisor. The subject line of your emails is not clear enough and is mistaken for an advertising email; your email subject line should be brief and clear, so as not to cause misunderstanding. The content of the mail is not targeted enough, and you should carefully adjust the content materials for your own magnetic supervisor.
It is recommended that applicants try to get in touch with their ideal supervisor in advance through various contact methods. Before the communication, you should have a detailed understanding of the supervisor’s research field and past topics, projects and achievements; during the communication process, you should have a clear topic, polite wording and clear expression (especially for applicants who communicate through email), and introduce your own experience, achievements and future plans.
10. 推荐信和导师接收函有特定格式和内容要求吗？若有两名及以上教授签发导师接收函，都要附在申请材料里吗？
答: 推荐信应为所申请学习领域的副教授（或相当于副教授）及以上人员所提供，格式无特定要求；导师接收函的格式须与我们网站上的模板保持一致，模板下载地址为：http://ic.hzau.edu.cn/ADMISSIONS1/DOWNLOAD.htm。
一份申请材料只能附上一位教授的导师接收函。我校不赞同申请者同时联系多名教授，但如若申请者同时获得了我校多名教授的导师接收函，申请者只能选择其中一份附在申请材料里；同时，我们要求申请者必须给其他签发导师接收函的教授进行解释说明，并获得他们的理解和同意，否则针对申请我们将酌情处理。
Q10. Are there any specific format and content requirements for recommendation letters and acceptance letters from supervisors? If two or more professors issue acceptance letters, do they all need to be attached to the application materials?
A: The recommendation letter should be provided by an associate professor (or equivalent) or higher in the field of study applied for, and there are no specific format requirements; the acceptance letter format should be consistent with which on our website, and template download address is: http://ic.hzau.edu.cn/ADMISSIONS1/DOWNLOAD.htm.
Only one professor’s acceptance letter can be attached to one application material. Our university does not approve of applicants contacting multiple professors at the same time. However, if an applicant has received acceptance letters from multiple professors at the same time, the applicant can only choose one of them to attach to the application materials. At the same time, we require applicants to provide explanations to other professors who issue acceptance letters from their supervisors and obtain their understanding and consent. Otherwise, we will process the application at our discretion.
11. 网上申请时,“在华紧急联系人”填写本国亲人的信息可以吗？父亲和母亲的信息都必须填写吗？
答: 不可以，请填写一位身在中国的亲友的联系方式。如实在没有亲友在华，请填写贵国驻华使领馆的紧急联系方式。在华紧急联系人不可以填写华中农业大学留学生招生办公室或相关工作人员。
父亲和母亲的信息都需要填写并且请务必填写他们正确、有效的联系方式，包括电话和电子邮件，以便我们在特殊情况下，能够在第一时间联系到你的父母。
Q11. When applying online, can the “Emergency Contact Person in China” fill in the information of the applicants’ relatives in their home country? Must the information of both the father and the mother be filled in?
A: No. Please fill in the contact information of a relative or friend who is in China. If you have no relatives or friends in China, please fill in the emergency contact information of your country’s embassy or consulate in China. The emergency contact person in China cannot be filled in as the International Students Office of Huazhong Agricultural University or relevant staff members.
The information of both your father and mother needs to be filled in. Please be sure to fill in their correct and valid contact details, including phone numbers and email addresses, so that we can contact your parents at the first time in special circumstances.
12. 已获中国政府奖学金资助并在中国大陆高校就读，想继续攻读更高层次学位，能否申请中国政府奖学金？
答: 可以申请，申请流程与其他申请者一致；具体政策请参考每年的招生简章：https://ic.hzau.edu.cn/ADMISSIONS1/APPLICATION/How_to_Apply.htm。
Q12. I am currently studying in a Chinese university supported by Chinese Government Scholarship; If I want to continue my studies and pursue a postgraduate degree, can I apply for Chinese Government Scholarship?

13. 我想申请中文授课，有什么要求？入学后能否变更授课语言？
答：选择中文授课的申请者汉语水平至少要达到HSK5级，最好是能达到HSK6级的水平。若暂时未能达到我校要求，建议先补习汉语，等汉语水平达到我校要求后，再申请来我校进行专业学习。
授课语言一经确定，不得变更。
Q13. I want to apply for courses taught in Chinese, what are the requirements? Can the teaching language be changed after enrollment?
A: Applicants who choose to be taught in Chinese should have a Chinese proficiency of at least HSK level 5, and preferably HSK level 6. If you fail to meet the requirements of our university for the time being, it is recommended that you first take Chinese remedial classes by yourself. Only your Chinese proficiency meets the requirements, can you then apply to our university.
Once the teaching language is determined, it cannot be changed.
14. 已提交申请，在学校审核材料过程中考取新的 HSK/雅思成绩、发表新期刊等，如何更新简历和材料？
答：在申请提交后申请者将不能自己变更材料。想要更新自己个人材料可以发送申请邮件到华中农业大学留学生管理处的招生官方邮箱（studyinhzau@mail.hzau.edu.cn）,说明具体的诉求，并随邮件附上申请时使用的个人信息（护照全名、护照号码、HZAU系统申请ID），留学生管理处会将申请退还，申请者在自行进行材料更新后就可以再次提交了。
Q14. I have submitted an application. During the university’s material review process, I have obtained new HSK/ IELTS scores, published in new journals, etc. How can I update my resume and materials?
A: After application submission applicants will not be able to change material. If you want to update your personal information, you can send an application email to the official admissions email of the International Students Office of Huazhong Agricultural University (studyinhzau@mail.hzau.edu.cn), stating your changing requirements and attaching the personal information used in the application (full passport name, passport number, HZAU system application ID). The Office will return the application, and applicants can resubmit it after updating the materials by themselves.
15. 在华中农业大学提交了中国政府奖学金申请，还能通过中国驻外使（领）馆或本国留学生派遣部门提交申请吗？若通过后者申请，材料是否需提交给华中农业大学？
答：建议仅选择一个途径进行申请，以免造成名额的浪费。如果你在申请中国政府奖学金的同时，通过中国驻外使(领)馆或本国留学生派遣部门获得了中国政府奖学金资助，也请务必第一时间告知我们。
若通过后者申请，申请者同样需要在“华中农业大学网上报名系统”（https://hzau.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx）上申请，并提交所需要的材料，我们会在材料审核后出具预录取函。
Q15. If I have submitted an application for the Chinese Government Scholarship at Huazhong Agricultural University, can I also submit it through Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad or the department in charge of sending students in my home country? If the application is made through the latter, do the materials need to be submitted to Huazhong Agricultural University?
A: It is recommended to apply through only one channel to avoid wasting the quota. If you have received the Chinese Government Scholarship through the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad or the department dispatching Chinese students in your home country while applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship, please inform us immediately as well.
If through the application, the applicant also needs apply in “Huazhong Agricultural University online application system” (https://hzau.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx), and submit the required materials, we will issue a pre-admission letter after materials review.
16. 申请系统中要求填写的电子邮箱、当前联系地址、永久联系地址、联系电话重要吗？
答: 非常重要。电子邮箱是我们学校与申请者最常用的沟通渠道，招生办公室很多重要的信息都是通过电子邮箱告知申请者，申请者一定要填写有效且定期查看的邮箱；招生办公室经常会通过电子邮件发送给申请者一些确认信息，若在规定时间内没有得到有效反馈，视为自动放弃。当前联系地址、 永久联系地址和联系电话主要用于寄送录取材料，录取材料是申请者办理签证和入学注册的重要文件。因此，申请者必须提供详细、清楚、有效的联系地址和联系电话，当前联系地址可以和永久联系地址一样。
Q16. Is it important to fill in the email, current address, permanent address and phone number in application system?
A: Very important. Emailing is the most commonly used channel for our university to communicate with applicant. International Students Office informs a lot of important information to applicants by email, so applicants must fill in the valid and usually checked email box; the office often sends some confirmation information to applicants by email. If it does not get effective feedback within the prescribed time from applicants, it will be deemed to have automatically abandoned; the information including current address, permanent address and phone number is used for sending admission documents, which are important for applying for visa and enrollment. Therefore, applicants must provide detailed, clear and valid address and phone number. Current address and permanent address are allowed to be the same.
17. 进入华中农业大学推荐名单且收到预录取通知书，但未被录取为中国政府奖学金的原因是什么？
答：申请者在经过遴选被华中农业大学推荐为中国政府奖学金候选者后，会收到华中农业大学出具的预录取通知书，但国家留学基金委会在之后会对被推荐者的资质进行最终审核，审核通过的申请者才会获得中国政府奖学金；获得中国政府奖学金的人数每年不固定，最终录取人数由国家留学基金委决定。
Q17. What is the reason for being on the recommended list of Huazhong Agricultural University and receiving the pre-admission letter, but not being admitted to the Chinese Government Scholarship?
A: After the applicants were selected and recommended by Huazhong Agricultural University as the candidates for the Chinese Government Scholarship, the China Scholarship Council(CSC) will review the qualifications of the recommended candidates, and only the applicants who pass their review will be awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship; the number of recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship is not fixed each year, and the final number of admissions is determined by the CSC.
18. 提交导师接收函后仍未被录取是怎么回事？
答：在华中农业大学对国际学生的申请材料进行审核的过程中，导师的考核并非唯一的环节。虽然获得导师接收函代表申请者获得了导师在学术方面的认可和接收意愿，但学校和学院会根据各种因素综合考量后决定是否推荐和录取申请者。所以获得导师接收函并不代表最终就一定被录取。
Q18. Why am I still not admitted after receiving the acceptance letter from the professor?
A: In the process of reviewing the application materials of international students at Huazhong Agricultural University, the assessment by the supervisor is only one of the links. Receiving the letter of acceptance from the supervisor indicates that the applicant has obtained the academic recognition and acceptance willingness from the supervisor. However, the university and college will decide whether to recommend and admit the applicant after considering various factors. So getting a acceptance letter does not mean that you will be admitted.
19. 如何得知自己的录取结果？
答: 通过中国驻外使(领)馆或本国留学生派遣部门的中国政府奖学金申请者，请向所申请的奖学金项目的受理部门查询录取结果；通过华中农业大学申请中国政府奖学金的申请者，录取结果将会通过申请系统和电子邮件通知，请注意查看申请网站和个人电子邮箱。
Q19. How to know the admission result?
A: Applicants who apply for Chinese Government Scholarship by the Chinese embassy or the dispatching authorities for overseas study of their home country can query the admission result by departments where accepts your application; applicants who apply for Chinese Government Scholarship directly by Huazhong Agricultural University can receive admission results by application system and email. Please check the application system and your personal email frequently.
答：不可以，所有被录取者须在录取通知书中写明的指定期限内到华中农业大学报到，原则上在没有获得允许的情况下提早到校或推迟报到都不被允许。
Q20. If I have been admitted, can I live at the university in advance before the September registration season?
A: No, all admitted students must register to Huazhong Agricultural University within the specified period stated in the admission notice. In principle, arriving at the university earlier or delaying the registration without permission is not allowed.
