Dear 2026 Applicants,

The application period for postgraduate international students at Huazhong Agricultural University for the 2026 academic year officially closed on February 27, 2026. To help all applicants understand the follow-up arrangements, we hereby announce the details regarding the first and second rounds of the Chinese Government Scholarship, as well as the Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship:

1. Result Inquiry for the First Round of the Chinese Government Scholarship

The recommendation process for the first round of the Chinese Government Scholarship has been successfully completed. Pre-admission letters have been sent via email to shortlisted candidates of relevant colleges.

Note: This pre-admission letter only confirms that you have the opportunity to be recommended by our university. The final admission result is subject to review and approval by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). If you have not received a pre-admission email, it means you were not recommended for this round of the scholarship. Please log in to the HZAU Application System to check your application status in a timely manner.

• Status marked “Rejected”: You have not passed our university’s admission review for this academic year and will not participate in subsequent scholarship rounds or admission procedures.

• Other statuses: Please continue to follow updates on future scholarship rounds issued by our university.

2. Arrangements for the Second Round of the Chinese Government Scholarship

The recommendation process for the second round of the Chinese Government Scholarship will start in early May. This round is only open to applicants from the College of Plant Science & Technology and the College of Horticulture & Forestry Sciences. Applicants from the above two colleges are requested to closely monitor their personal email and status updates on the HZAU Application System for timely information on the recommendation process and relevant requirements. This round of recommendation is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Kind Reminder: Applicants from colleges other than the two mentioned above are not eligible for this second round of scholarship recommendation. Please follow other scholarship arrangements to be released by our university later.

3. Arrangements for Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship Admission

The admission process for the university-level scholarship at Huazhong Agricultural University is scheduled to start in early June. Successful applicants will be notified by email at that time. Applicants who have not been awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship are advised to stay attentive and check their emails and the application system regularly.
