1. Scholarships
Chinese Government Scholarship: Chinese Government Scholarship is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R.China (hereinafter referred to as MOE). China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the MOE, holds the responsibility of the verification, approval and the routine management of the program. Huazhong Agricultural University (hereinafter referred to as HZAU) is one of the Chinese universities listed under this program and is entrusted by MOE to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies.
l Application Qualification:
Be non-Chinese citizens in good health
Applicants for Master’s degree must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 35. Applicants for Doctoral degree must have obtained Master’s
Degree and be under the age of 40.
l Values of the scholarship
Tuition waiver
Free university accommodation
Stipend: Master’s students: 3,000 RMB/month; Doctoral students: 3,500 RMB/month

Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship: Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarship is established by Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) to encourage and support some excellent foreign students to study at HZAU as Master’s or Doctoral students.
l Application Qualification:

Applicants for Master’s degree must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 40. Applicants for Doctoral degree must have obtained Master’s Degree and be under the age of 45.

Stipend: Master’s students: 2,100 RMB/month; Doctoral students: 2,500 RMB/month.

3. Application Procedures

Notes: Softcopies of required documents should be uploaded when applying online. Hardcopies will not be acceptable this year.
4. Selection and Notification
A comprehensive review will be conducted on applicant’s academic record, language proficiency, research achievements and their prospective supervisor’s comments. The shortlisted candidates of CSC Scholarship will be submitted to China Scholarship Council for final approval. The shortlisted candidates of HZAU Scholarship will be submitted to local government for final approval.
The notice about final results will be published at http://ic.hzau.edu.cn/ in July,2021. Scholarships awardees will be notified via email. Admission Notices and Visa Application Forms for Study (JW201/JW202) will be sent out afterwards.
